From Pharmaceutical Substance Screening up to Use of Microarray in Diagnostics
Today, micro plates in standard format are indispensable for biochemical, medical and cell biology examinations. Micro plates are used in High Throughout Screening (HTS) as well as microarray technology, and protein crystallisation. As one of the leading suppliers of HTS products (High Throughput Screening) for pharmaceutical substance screening, Greiner Bio-One BioScience has the broadest range of micro plates on offer. All formats for use in fully automated systems are optimised. With a sample reservoir of either 96, 384, 1536 or 3456 wells per plate in addition to various materials and surface treatments, the products combine a high level of efficiency with precision and reliability.
„HTA™Platform“
One of the most recent Greiner Bio-One BioScience innovations is the HTA™ Platform. For the first time in professional diagnostic application, the design includes the functions of the micro plate. The platform is available in two formats: as an HTA™Slide – a plastic slide with 12 arrays, or as micro plate with 96 wells. Every array or well functions as an individual chip, so that either 12 or 96 individual arrays work parallel. This saves considerably on time, material and personnel expenditure when analyses are being carried out, thus simplifying and speeding up diagnostic research and development considerably.
