In spite of the international economic crisis, employees of Greiner Bio-One International AG achieved a turnover of € 278.6 million. This is an increase of 9% compared to the previous year.

Both business divisions - Preanalytics and BioScience – were able to win new market shares with product solutions, whereby the Preanalytics division grew more strongly, gaining a growth in turnover of 10.8%. The BioScience division increased the turnover by 3%. Altogether, the turnover increased from € 255.9 million to € 278.6 million.
The total number of employees increased slightly. In December 2009, Greiner Bio-One employed 1472 people.
In 2009 the company invested in further expansion of the production capacities for the realisation of the global business strategy. Thus a new production location was opened in Rainbach/Muehlkreis in July 2009. In 2010 a new administration building will be constructed, where both the Greiner Bio-One subsidiary Lambda and the company's own clinical research laboratory will be based. In spite of the growing investments, the cash flow remained practically the same.
