New Production Work in Thailand Opened
On Friday 17th October, the new Greiner Bio-One (GBO) production location in Amata Nakorn, South East Thailand was opened.Following the locations in Austria, Germany, Brazil, Hungary and the USA, this is the sixth production work for this group of companies. The plan is that the up and coming markets in the Far East can be supplied directly from this newly equipped, high-tech location. This ensures that customers in the Asian area are also ensured efficient Just-in-Time delivery of VACUETTE® products.
120 guests were invited to the opening ceremony. Board spokesman Dr. Axel Greiner and CEO Franz Konrad (Ing.), discussed the extraordinary significance of the region in both geopolitical terms and economic terms. The new 32 Thai employees, who have belonged to the international GBO network since summer, were also officially welcomed. The Austrian ambassador Mr. Arno Riedel attended the ceremony as well as the trade delegate Dr. Gustav Gressel.
As in all other Greiner Bio-One production works, the VACUETTE® Blood Collection Tubes and Petri dishes will be manufactured in Amata Nakorn strictly according to the internationally valid standards ISO 9001 and EN ISO 13485. A representative of DQS, Mr. Philipp Zürchner, was at the opening ceremony, and was able to present the new ISO certificate as part of the celebration.
