Greiner Bio-One - Expansion in Spite of Economic Crisis
As internationally active manufacturer of medical technology, Greiner Bio-One continues on its expansion course.Although the economic crisis has drastically affected many business sectors, this company has achieved a 13% growth rate with the VACUETTE® blood collection system line. Due to the healthy business development, Greiner Bio-One is expecting further increases in results for 2009.
The strong growth can be attributed in particular to the development of new innovative product solutions. By using VACUETTE® Safety Products, needlestick injuries and the related occupational risk diseases such as HIV as well as Hepatitis B and C, can be virtually eliminated. The newly developed VACUETTE® QUICKSHIELD Complete PLUS or the VACUETTE® PREMIUM Tube with Safety Twist Cap, for example, reduce the risk of injury and contamination to an absolute minimum, resulting in efficient daily routine procedures.

The products are sold in more than 100 countries via Greiner Bio-One’s subsidiaries or distributors. With a turnover in excess of 256 million Euros in 2008 and an export share of 97%, the company will continue to concentrate on internationalisation and expansion of market shares across the world.
